Amidst the intensity of campaign activities across the Country, several school Teachers under the banner’’ National Grass Root Teachers Network of Liberia” have endorsed the second term bid of President George Weah.

The program was held at the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) headquarters in Congo Town and was attended by both public and private school teachers from across Liberia.

During the reading of the endorsement, the group’s head Mr. L. Chayee Smith, narrated that their decision is based on President George Weah’s many development initiatives carried out over five and half years in power.

“We, as the National Grass Root Teachers Network of Liberia are aware of the increment in teachers’ salaries and the pavement of major roads across the country, and by that we believe that such great work by President Weah deserves a second,” they said.

He then called on the Liberian leader to continuously work and ensure that the welfare of teachers in other parts of the country is met, and at the same time, vowing to use their various classrooms to campaign for the reelection of the CDC government.

In remarks, the deputy campaign chair of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Israel Akinsanya, thanked the group and termed their action as patriotic, nationalistic, and shared gratitude to the CDC leadership.

‘Those Teachers are people who want better for this Country and its citizens. They know what is right and what they know will prosper the Nation,’’ he said.

Going- forward, he revealed that the CDC campaign team will provide the grass root teachers with all necessary campaign materials to enable them to carry out their reelection message.

He stated that the first-time voters are their key focus and challenge, urging teachers to use their various classrooms, campaign, and help spread the message of President Weah’s reelection. africanentertainment.com
