Government has recommitted to expand higher education, strengthen infrastructure, and accelerate inclusive national development, specifically in education sector.
The latest followed the official opening of the Lofa County University (LCU) annex campus in Zorzor.

Acting Deputy Finance Minister for Budget and Development Planning, Sarah M. Mulbah, described the inauguration as a historic milestone that reflects government’s determination to invest in human capital while transforming rural communities through strategic public investment.

The annex campus, established through the integration of the former Change Agent Network University (CAN-U) into LCU, is expected to expand enrollment for students from Zorzor, Salayea, Voinjama and neighboring counties.

Madam Mulbah congratulated the university’s board of trustees, management, faculty and stakeholders for preserving educational opportunities and strengthening the higher education sector.

Madam Mulbah assured the leadership of LCU that government has taken note of requests for additional infrastructure, rehabilitation works, staffing and institutional support.
