We Declare Peace Over Liberia as She Observes Her 179th Independence Anniversary
As Liberia Celebrates her 179th Independence Anniversary on Monday, July 27, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our beloved nation and to every Liberian at home and abroad.
This Historic Occasion is a time for celebration, reflection, and renewed commitment to the ideals upon which our republic was founded.
We Declare Peace over Liberia. We pray for unity over division, prosperity over poverty, justice over injustice and hope over despair.
May God Preserve our nation and continue to shield her from conflict, violence and instability.
On This National milestone, we also pray for our leaders. More than anything else, Liberia needs leadership guided by wisdom, integrity, humility and the fear of God.
Wisdom enables leaders to understand the needs of the people, make sound decisions, and pursue policies that promote the common good.
A Nation Led with wisdom is better positioned to achieve peace, stability and sustainable development.
While We Celebrate our independence, we must also confront the realities before us. Poverty remains widespread, unemployment continues to burden many families, and illiteracy and ignorance still hinder national progress.
These Challenges Call for collective action rather than empty promises. Independence should inspire more than patriotic speeches and colorful ceremonies.
It Should Renew our determination to educate our people, empower our youth, strengthen our institutions, fight corruption, and create opportunities that improve the lives of all Liberians.
The Future Of Liberia depends not only on those in government but on every citizen. Let us reject tribalism, hatred, political intolerance, and violence. Let us embrace peace, unity, hard work, and mutual respect as we build a stronger and more prosperous nation.
As Liberia Marks 179 years of independence, may Almighty God bless our land with lasting peace, grant wisdom to our leaders, and unite our people in the shared pursuit of justice, progress and national development.
