Yekeh Kolubah Preaches Reconciliation
Montserrado County District #10 former Representative, Yekeh Y. Kolubah, has conceived plans to reconcile his political disagreement with President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, and the ruling establishment.
Kolubah, in a Facebook post said, the ongoing tensions among politicians, and political parties, over the years have left deep scars on the nation and its people.
Kolubah has meanwhile, recognized the urgent need for the country to overcome its historical divisions that have “hindered progress to include healthcare, infrastructure and education.”
He added: “For too long, we have allowed our differences to divide us.”
Kolubah said, the ongoing division is a barrier to advancement.
He wrote about how his plans will elaborate on the vision for reconciliation.
He urged citizens, and national leaders to engage in honest dialogue.
“If Liberia is to make meaningful progress, we must be willing to put our differences aside, and work together for the common good of the country.”
Reconciliation, he said, does not mean disregarding differences, or compromising on principles.
Instead, Kolubah positioned it as a choice for peace, and collaboration over divisiveness.
“Reconciliation means choosing dialogue, and national development.”
He spoke of the political landscape often being marred by factionalism, which he claimed, has persisted long after the civil war.
Kolubah’s initiative seeks to foster a spirit of collaboration among political leaders, and citizens to build a shared vision for a better future.
His message seeks to resonates with many, who desire a more united approach to governance.
He believes it will be through reconciliation, the country can finally address pressing issues, and work towards a more prosperous society.
