Bong County Senator Johnny K. Kpehe has announced the approval of 143 scholarships at Cuttington University (CU) for students.
Kpehe described the initiative as part of efforts to expand access to higher education for young Bongese.
The scholarship package will benefit 103 undergraduate students in Suakoko, and 40 graduate students based in Monrovia.
Kpehe said, the approval represents a significant step to reduce the financial burden faced by students, particularly those who struggle to meet tuition, and other academic expenses.
He said, his office remains committed to support students from the county, and create opportunities for young people to pursue higher education regardless of their financial circumstances.
The initiative comes as many students continue to face challenges associated with the cost of university education, including tuition, fees, transportation, books, and other academic requirements.
