The Criminal Court ‘C’ at the Temple of Justice, has approved a US$435,560 property valuation bond.
The bond was filed for former government official, Nora Finda Bondo, who is facing charges ranging from money laundering, theft of property, misuse of public money, property and records, criminal conspiracy, forgery to criminal facilitation.
Presiding Judge Ousman F. Feika, approved the bond during the May Term of Court.
By that, Madam Bondo is now allow to remain out of detention while legal proceedings continue.
Court documents reviewed by In-profile Daily newspaper, revealed that the bond is backed by developed properties in Gardnersville and Oldest Congo Town. The firm is owned by three sureties, Fayia Fallambu, Tina Kumba Fallambu, and Abraham Wade Simpson.
Under the terms of the bond, Madam Bondo is required to appear before the court whenever summoned, submit herself to all court processes, but she is prohibited from leaving the country without prior authorization from the court.
Should she fail to comply, the sureties risk forfeiting properties valued at more than US$435,000.
The bond further provides that if convicted, Madam Bondo must surrender herself to the custody of the court to undergo whatever sentence may be imposed.
The sureties also affirmed that the properties pledged as security are individually owned, legally registered, and have all required taxes paid up to date.
