It was a teary moment in Jecko’s Town Community in Grand Bassa County, after a man identified as Moses Cole allegedly chopped off the ears of his two kids during the night hours.
The incident occurred at 12am on Tuesday while Moses’ kids were asleep in the Jecko’s Town Community in Buchanan.
Eyewitnesses told reporters that Moses informed them that he was allegedly attacked by evil forces , something he claimed led to his actions.
“ Moses Cole told us that he saw the children like big people that went there to attack him , so he cut off all his kids ears and even chopped the neighbor that went to rescue the children”, an eyewitness said.
The kids were immediately rushed at the Liberian Government Hospital for treatment but were lately transferred to the JFK Hospital in Monrovia for treatment.
However, officers of the Liberian National Police have launched investigation into the matter as Moses who allegedly carried out the act was arrested while the kids are undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, relatives of the kids are calling on humanitarian organizations to speedily intervene in helping the kids get advanced treatment.
