‘Punishment From God….’ – Martin Kollah Describes Spoon Network Closure
The Secretary General of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP), Martin Kollah, has described the recent closure of Spoon Network as a punishment from God towards his enemies seeking his downfall.
Mr. Kullah, on his church tour in Montserrado County District #6, told the gathering that Mr. Stanton Witherspoon, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Spoon Network conspired with his driver to abscond with the US$70,000 intended to fund the Dec. 17 ‘We’re Tired Suffering’ Rally.
The District #6 Representative aspirant said his driver allegedly colluded with Witherspoon to undermine the peaceful gathering by taking away the money. He narrated that Mr. Waterspoon was aware of the well-being of his driver when he flee the country.
Kulah said it was God’s divine intervention that enabled Interpol Securities to arrest his driver and turned him over to the Liberian authorities for prosecution.
In early December, the new CPP announced plans to rally Liberians and compel the CDC-led government of President George Manneh Weah to be accountable to the citizenry
The rally was also organized to decry the suffering in the country and people injured by the “failed and inept administration” of President George Weah to amplify their demands for good governance and to end the worsening economic conditions in the country.
But the process leading to the protest soon turned acidic when the driver of Mr. Kollahabscond with the US$70,000 intended for the rally. However, following several interventions from national and international partners, Simon Davis- his driver was arrested and turned over to the Liberia National Police for Investigation.
