The Konia Comprehensive Health Center in Zorzor District, Lofa County, has received solar energy and communication equipment from Catholic Relief Services (CRS), through Bounce Band Energy LLC, to support ongoing construction of a modern laboratory at the facility.
The equipment was officially handed over on October 28, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve diagnostic services at the health center.
The donated items include three hybrid inverters, 42 solar panels, three lithium batteries, mounting structures, Starlink internet equipment, and other essential electrical and installation materials.
The solar energy system is expected to provide a reliable electricity supply for the laboratory, while the Starlink equipment will improve internet connectivity. These facilities are expected to create a more supportive environment for laboratory operations, medical diagnosis, and the delivery of essential healthcare services.
The availability of reliable electricity and internet connectivity is particularly important for modern laboratory operations, which depend on consistent power and effective communication to support quality diagnostic services.
The Konia Comprehensive Health Center management, through the Lofa County Health Team, has expressed appreciation to Catholic Relief Services and Bounce Band Energy LLC for their contribution toward the development of the facility.
The support is expected to strengthen the health center’s diagnostic capacity and contribute to improved healthcare delivery for residents of Konia and surrounding communities.
The initiative represents another step toward improving healthcare infrastructure and expanding access to quality medical services in Zorzor District and other parts of Lofa County.
