The proprietor of Veritas Edge Academy (VEA), Joshua Powell, has disclosed how the school intends to introduce home economics and adult literacy program in its plan for the next academic year.

Powell made the disclosure during the school recent closing ceremony.

The school is located in City View Community #2, Johnsonville-Mount Barclay area.

He said the school’s extra-curricular activities will begin with training in pastry, tie-dye and computer programs.

The adult literacy will be conducted during the evening session with service to only persons grown-ups in adults’ life.

Mr. Powell also revealed that the 2026-2027 new training program will be an added opportunity for several school-going kids, dropouts and ordinary residents.

The elementary school, according to Powell, will be extended to grade 7th in its third year of existence.

Meanwhile, VEA Principal, Melvin De-Gbon, said, the school has maintained over 200 students’ enrollment for the past two years.

De-Gbon commended the teachers and parents for cooperating with each other, and ensuring the success of students since academic 2024-2025.
