Koinah’s scholarship scheme ‘Transforms Lives’

Bong County Representative Prince K. Koinah Scholarship Program, has been widely praised as over 100 beneficiaries gathered in Palala Town, and expressed gratitude a life-changing educational intervention transforming the lives of students.
The appreciation ceremony brought together scholarship recipients from the four administrative districts of the constituency, highlighting the growing impact of the program in expanding access to higher education and reducing financial barriers faced by students and parents.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, student leaders, Moses A. Gbanyan, and Josiah Paliey, described the scholarship initiative as a major relief for many families struggling with tuition and academic expenses.
They recalled how education has remained a central focus of Representative Prince K. Koinah’s development agenda since he was elected in 2023.
The program has enabled numerous students to pursue higher education, and avoid dropping out due to financial constraints.
They emphasized the need for the initiative not to only support individual students, but contribute to the development of the county.
Officials of the scholarship program, also confirmed that the intervention continues to address key challenges related to school fees, allowing beneficiaries to pursue studies at various tertiary institutions without interruption.
The program currently supports students attending Bong County University, Cuttington University, United Methodist University, African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU), and the Baptist College of Physicians.
During the ceremony, beneficiaries presented a special recognition to Rep. Koinah, describing him as a visionary leader, and a strong advocate for youth empowerment and educational advancement.
Koinah reaffirmed his commitment to invest in young people through education, which he described as the most effective tool to transform communities and improve livelihoods.
The event ended with renewed appreciation from students, who pledged to take full advantage of the opportunity and serve as ambassadors of educational excellence.
