I need You to help me bear my cross.
I need You to restore my loss.
I need You to correct my errors,
I need You to save me from terrors.
I need to share in Your experience,
I need to walk in Your wisdom.
I need to follow in Your path,
I need You to give me a holy bath.
I cannot do it all by myself.
Perfection is not my portion,
Though I am always in motion.
Though I strive to be my very best,
Though I endure life’s many tests,
Though I make it through the pests,
Though I often shine among the rest,
Though I never go without daily bread,
Though I sleep in comfort in my bed,
Still, I always need Your collaboration.
I cannot succeed all by myself.
Without You, I cannot proudly boast.
Without You, I cannot make a toast.
Without You, I cannot write and post.
Without You, I cannot receive inspiration.
Without You, I cannot perform poetic creation.
Without You, I am just incomplete;
Without You, I cannot stand on my feet.
Without You, my journey would be tough;
For Your grace alone is enough.
I cannot do it all by myself.
