Reports from East Africa have pointed fingers at Liberia, thus leading to a major publicity campaign.

The campaign aims to advance ideals to its partners on practical solutions for global peace, security and the protection of international maritime trade.

According to a dispatch from the Liberian Embassy near the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, Liberia’s Deputy Chief of Mission Ambassador Robert Sammie, led the E10 members meeting that comprises 10 foreign accredited missions situated in Addis Ababa.

the campaign, which was led by the regular E10 coordination meeting, took place on 27 October 2026, and was hosted by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Sammie said, the meeting also gathered together current and incoming non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). They exchanged views on recent developments before the Council, and emerging international peace and security issues.

Discussions focused on outcomes of the recent UNSC-AUPSC consultative meeting in New York, developments in Sudan, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as preparations by incoming Security Council members for their respective terms.

Amb. Sammie briefed participants on Liberia’s forthcoming presidency of the United Nations Security Council in December 2026, and the country’s signature debate on “Maritime Security,” and is scheduled for December 3, 2026, in New York.

He reaffirmed Liberia’s strong commitment to make sure that they achieve their goals.

Sammie also pledged and promised smooth CT working relationship with the African Union, and other partners to advance practical solutions for global peace, security, and the protection of international maritime trade.
