The Liberia National Police (LNP) has warned motorists and other road users as the infamous accident prone Kpakor Hill wear away, mainly during the rainy season.
LNP warning followed reports of deterioration along a portion of the main highway connecting Monrovia to Bong County.
The Police said, the affected on the road is particularly around Kpakor Hill in Lower Bong County, where erosion has damaged portions of the roadway, and created potentially hazardous conditions for motorists.
LNP said, the condition could expose motorists, passengers, motorcyclists, and other road users to increased risks as they travel through the affected section.
In a public notice issued, Police urged motorists to exercise extreme caution when approaching, and or passing through Kpakor Hill.
LNP specifically advised drivers to reduce their speed, remain vigilant, and carefully observe the condition of the road to avoid possible road traffic crashes.
The Police warned that motorists who failed to exercise caution while navigating the affected section often put themselves in harm way, particularly as vehicles attempt to pass through areas affected by erosion.
The Kpakor Hill section is located along an important route used by motorists traveling between Monrovia and Bong County.
The Police meanwhile, encouraged motorists to avoid reckless driving, and take all necessary safety precautions when using the roadway.
