Internal Affairs Min. Inducts Local Governors

The government of Liberia through the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the intent to rejuvenate the local government has undertaken an induction program nationwide of governors of varied ethnicities and tribal chiefs. This move by the government will ensure that the civil population including ethnic groups or people to identify with each other on the basis of perceived shared attributes and with a common nation of origin, common sets of ancestry, traditions, language and historical link. Inducting into office over the weekend the Kissy Governor, Mr. Fallah J. Brown, along with Vice Governor and the Kissy Tribal Chief, Alie Yaladu of Garnersville Township, the Assistant Minister for legal affairs at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Cllr. Losene Bility, urged them to serve diligently. In furtherance of his speech, whilst he carried out the induction of these government officials, the the Assistant Minister underscored commitment as key to the inductees to foster growth and unity amongst their kinfolks. Moreover, Cllr. Bility indicated by officially handing them the gravel of power in the local government arena, this expresses that they are morally duty-bound or legally obliged to work in line with government agenda to protect and or uphold cultural and traditional values of the nation’s Shortly following his induction into office Govethis, Fallah J. Brown expressed gratitude over his preferment and promised to uphold the rule of law whilst he serves his people. He then added that he would remain steadfast and unwavering in performing his duty to ensure sustainable development in the Garnersville Township.
