Healthcare Delivery Assessed In Grand Kru

The Joint Senate Committee led by Chairperson Senator Verpila, has paid an official assessment visit to the Grand Kru County Health Team.

The visit was part of efforts to review healthcare service delivery, and identify key priorities to strengthen the health system.

It brought on board members of the Senate Committee into direct engagement with health authorities, and frontline healthcare workers.

The visit also discussed the realities confronting the health sector, and assessed the delivery of essential services to the locals.

During the engagement, the Committee focused on the need to strengthen health services, support healthcare workers, and address challenges that may hinder the effective delivery of quality healthcare.

The assessment also provided an avenue for health workers, who directly interacted with the lawmakers, and shared issues requiring greater attention and support.

The visit forms part of the lawmakers’ oversight responsibility, and reflects the Committee interest to understand the conditions under which healthcare services are provided at the county level.

Grand Kru County Health Team said, continued collaboration between policymakers, and local health authorities was important to improve healthcare services, and achieve better health outcomes for the locals.

The visit also underscores the importance of sustained investment, coordination, and stakeholder engagement to address the healthcare needs of residents, particularly in counties where health systems continue to seek support from government and partners.
