Findley Endorses Weah’s Re-election bid
Liberia’s former Foreign Minister, Gbehzohngar Milton Findley has embraced the re-election of Pres. George Manneh Weah weeks away from the November 14 presidential runoff election. The Grand Bassa Senator elect made the revelation Wednesday at a major press conference in the County Capital, Buchanan. His support comes 15 Days after residents of Grand Bassa overwhelmingly gave Gbehzohngar a return gift of 55,000 votes following nine years of absence from the Legislature. During the press conference, Findley attributed his support to Pres. George Manneh Weah as a venture to ensure that his county benefits electricity, quality health services in addition to many developments His Excellency has done. “After consultation with my team, I believe that my support to President George Manneh Weah is to enable us to get electricity, vocational centers and so much development and growth for our County,” the Senator-elect emphasized. He furthered, “Pres. Weah will create more jobs for Liberians, and I am calling on every citizen to support the President in the run-off election”. The pronouncement from the Senator also comes amidst engagements from stalwarts of both the Unity Party and the Coalition for Democratic Change, but the decision finally favored the Weah’s side just a day after the National Elections Commission declared runoff on October 24, when George Manneh Weah and Joseph Nyumah Boakai were named the two top candidates who accumulated the highest votes amongst 20 contestants.
