Former Solicitor General, Augustine Fayiah, has accused former Finance Minister Samuel D. Tweah of threatening, and intimidating him.
Fayiah claimed that Tweah had threatened him during an encounter that reportedly occurred on Saturday, September 19, at about 8:45 p.m. at Savvie Express in Duazon.
According to Fayiah, Tweah approached him, and stated: โI thought you were going to be the solicitor general forever, but you have been dismissed, and we will get at you, and your team.โ
Fayiah alleged the comments were linked to his role in the prosecution of Tweah, and said the statements caused him concern for his personal safety, and that of members of his former team.
He further claimed that a member of Tweah’s entourage followed him into the establishment, stood over him for several minutes, and repeatedly demanded that he shake his hand before bystanders intervened, and asked the individual to leave.
Though Teah is yet to speak to the allegation, Fayiah described the encounter as intimidation rather than a simple verbal exchange.
Fayiah said, he intends to file a formal complaint with the Ministry of Justice, but for no, he called for a thorough investigation into the matter.
