Residents of Bomo-Ta Town in Electoral District #6, Bong County, have appealed to the government and partners to urgently repair their only bridge.
The wooden bridge, they say, has become increasingly dangerous, and threatens the movement of the economy.
It connects Bomo-Ta to Beleta, and several catchment communities.
Residents say, the structure has deteriorated over time, leaving pedestrians, and schoolchildren at risk whenever they attempt to cross.
The bridge links Bomo-Ta with neighboring communities.
Some of the locals said, the deteriorating condition of the crossing point has made movement difficult, and raised concerns about safety.
Residents fear that continued use without repairs could eventually leave the community isolated if the bridge becomes completely impassable.
Residents also believe that improving the bridge would support agricultural activities by allowing farmers to transport crops more safely and efficiently to markets.
They emphasized the need for urgency because the bridge links Bomo-Ta with neighboring communities.
