Togar Rehabilitates Kporyou Bridge

Former Bong County Electoral District #1 representative candidate, Pascar Togar, has rehabilitated the Kporyou Town bridge in Tuekpalee District.

By that, Togar has improved transportation, and movement between the community and surrounding areas.

The bridge serves as an important crossing for residents of Kporyou Town, and nearby communities, including people traveling toward parts of Grand Bassa County.

Before the intervention, the structure had deteriorated significantly, creating difficulties for motorists, traders, farmers and other road users, who depend on the route for their daily activities.

After the rehabilitation, Togar told reporters that the condition of the bridge became dilapidated meanwhile, raising concern for residents, and commuters.

He said, the situation demonstrated the need for individuals, and community leaders to contribute to local development, rather than waiting solely for the government to address every challenge facing communities.

The rehabilitation intends to provide immediate relief to residents, who have experienced difficulties using the crossing.

He encouraged citizens to take an active role in addressing development challenges whenever they have the means to do so.

Kporyou Town Chief Harris Clinton expressed appreciation to Togar for responding to the community’s concerns by rehabilitating the bridge.

Clinton said, the intervention came at a time when they were concerned about the condition of the crossing and its impact on commuters.

Residents recalled the importance of the to local economy, “because it provides access for people transporting agricultural products, and other goods.”
