Boakai Consoles Former President Sirleaf

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., yesterday, June 12, 2024, visited former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf at her Fish Market residence to express his heartfelt condolences on the passing of her son, former Central Bank Deputy Governor, Charles Sirleaf. The President, with deep sympathy and compassion, offered his personal support and as well conveyed the nation’s collective sorrow in this difficult time. During the visit, President Boakai shared memories of Charles Sirleaf’s dedication to public service and expressed profound admiration for his contributions to the nation.  He also empathized with the immeasurable loss felt not only by Madam Sirleaf and her family, but also by the entire Liberian populace. The President assured Madam Sirleaf of the nation’s unwavering support and solidarity as they navigate through this period of mourning.  President Boakai emphasized that the legacy of Charles Sirleaf’s commitment to the betterment of Liberia will endure, and that his memory will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched. The President concluded by expressing the hope that Madam Sirleaf finds comfort in the fond memories of her son and the outpouring of love and support from the Liberian people during this time of bereavement.
