AJURL Congratulates Chief Justice Gbeisay -As Senate Conforms His Appointment

The Association of Judiciary Reporters of Liberia (AJURL), the umbrella organization representing all judicial reporters across the country, has extended earnest commendation to Chief Justice Yarmie Quiqui Gbeisay on his confirmation by the  Liberian Senate.

The President of AJURL, Yassah J. Wright, said this milestone is both timely and essential to advancing a robust and impartial judiciary in Liberia.

‎Miss Wright‎ noted that Chief Justice Gbeisay’s confirmation reflects his extensive legal expertise and professional integrity, signaling a promising new phase of dynamism and reform within the nation’s judicial system.

‎‎She stated that the nomination of Chief Justice Gbeisay by  President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, followed by his swift confirmation by the Senate, underscores the Government of Liberia’s unwavering dedication to the delivery of justice that is fair, expeditious, and impartial.

“It is a reaffirmation of the government’s commitment to upholding the rule of law, one of its fundamental pillars,” Wright indicated.

‎‎In this spirit, AJURL President respectfully urged Chief Justice Gbeisay to champion comprehensive judicial reforms that reinforce public trust and ensure timely justice for all, regardless of status or affiliation.

“We encourage His Honor to dispense justice with bold impartiality, without fear or favor, and to consistently interpret and apply the law in strict conformity with the Constitution of Liberia,” Madam Wright stressed.

‎She further said‎ AJURL pledges its continued cooperation with the Judiciary Branch of Government, committing to the highest standards of journalistic integrity in fulfilling its public duty. “We remain steadfast in our mission to inform, advocate, and enhance mutual understanding between the judiciary and the people it serves,” she said.
