The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) says it is prepared to train 97 beneficiaries of its small-scale grants for Market Vendors Program in River Gee County.
The exercise is under the National Youth Pathway initiative.
The beneficiaries are part of approximately 2,000 young people expected to benefit from the program.
The training is to also prepare participants to manage their businesses before the disbursement of grant funds.
According to information from the Ministry, the River Gee training will take place in Fish Town and Gbeapo Kanweaken.
The sessions will focus on financial management to help beneficiaries understand how to handle, and utilize the grants for their business purposes.
The initiative targets young people involved in market vending, and other small-scale commercial activities. It forms part of government efforts to provide business support, and improve economic opportunities for young people.
The grants will be transferred directly to beneficiaries through MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money.
