Jurry Donates Armchairs To Tobyville School

Harper District Representative, P. Mike Jurry, has donated 100 pieces of armchairs to Tobyville Public School.

The school is located in Harper City, Maryland County.

The donation was part of Rep. Jurry’s ongoing commitment to improve quality education, and enhance the learning environment for the students.

The donation, valued at approximately US$2,000, was officially presented to the school administration over the weekend.

During the handover ceremony, Augustine Hinneh, who proxied for Jurry, said the gesture was prompted by reports seating shortages at the institution.

The situation, he said, had forced many of the students to sit under difficult conditions during lessons.

He said Jurry, as a strong advocate for education, found it necessary to quickly create a more conducive learning atmosphere through the armchairs.

”This donation is intended to address the school’s shortage of adequate sitting capacity. Rep. Jurry believes that no child should struggle to find a chair to learn.”

Hinneh urged the school administration, teachers, and the students to take good care of the furniture, and ensure it is used strictly for its intended educational purpose.

He also commended the administration, and teaching staff of Tobyville Public School for their dedication, resilience, and sacrifice in shaping future leaders despite logistical challenges.

The Principal Madam Albertine Sceres, expressed profound gratitude to Rep. Jurry for a timely, and impactful intervention.

Parents and students who witnessed the handover also lauded Rep. Jurry for his continued support to education in Harper District.

Tobyville Public School is one of the key public schools in Harper, serving students from low-income families.
