A self-established Christ’s Vision International Ministries (CVIM), has commenced a 21-day fast, and prayer program at its headquarters in Gbarnga, Bong County.
The Christian establishment says: “We are praying and fasting for Liberia’s peace, protection, and future at the centre of the spiritual exercise.”
The annual program, being led by Senior Pastor James Paye, has entered its eighth day, with members of the congregation continuing to participate in fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection.
According to CVIM, the exercise is intended to give members, an opportunity to dedicate an extended period to prayer for Liberia, the church, families, and other spiritual, and personal concerns.
The church says, members are seeking God’s guidance, and protection for Liberia while praying for peace, unity, and blessings.
Pastor Paye is participating in the exercise alongside members of the congregation, according to church officials.
CVIM describes the annual fasting, and prayer program as an important part of its spiritual activities, designed to strengthen the faith, and commitment of its members.
The church says, the program also provides an opportunity for members to reflect on their responsibilities to their families, communities, and the nation.
With Liberia among the central focuses of the exercise, participants are praying for divine direction for the country, and its people.
For CVIM members, the 21-day exercise is an opportunity to collectively focus their spiritual attention on issues affecting the country while also seeking personal, and family blessings.
The congregation is expected to continue the program until the full 21-day period is completed.
Church officials say participants remain committed to the exercise, and are encouraging continued dedication throughout the remaining days.
The program is also intended to deepen the spiritual lives of CVIM members through sustained fasting, prayer and fellowship.
Pastor Paye, and the congregation have continued to gather at the church’s Gbarnga headquarters as the exercise progresses.
CVIM says its annual 21-day fasting, and prayer program will remain focused on Liberia, the church, and the spiritual, and personal needs of its members.
