Bong County District #1 Representative, Prince K. Koinah, in partnership with Senator Prince Kermue Moye, has launched a technical and vocational education and training (TVET) program in Kokoyah Statutory District.
The program aims to equip young people with practical skills, and create new opportunities for economic empowerment.
The initiative was launched at the Boinsen Multilateral Institute (BMI) in David Dean Town during the institution’s second closing exercise ceremony, where Rep. Koinah served as keynote speaker.
He encouraged the students to embrace determination, perseverance, and hard work.
Koinah urged students not to allow their present circumstances to define their future.
He said, education remains a powerful foundation for personal growth, and national development, but emphasized the importance of combining academic knowledge with practical skills that can improve livelihoods and create employment opportunities.
The newly launched TVET program is expected to train some of the serious-mined youth in electrical installation, plumbing, general construction, driving, catering and tailoring.
The ceremony brought together parents, local leaders and education stakeholders, who welcomed the initiative as a major step to expand opportunities for the young people.
