MBH Power Limited has expressed profound sorrow over the death of its contractor, Moses Robert, who was killed in a ‘workplace accident’ on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Prior to the accident, Robert had worked on the EU LUSE Electrification Project along Tubman Street in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

The company’s management extended its heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, colleagues and loved ones. Management described the saddened passing of Mr. Robert as a “devastating loss.” The company said, the tragedy has deeply affected its management, employees, project stakeholders, including the Rural and Renewable Energy Agency (RREA) and the European Union (EU), as well as the communities benefiting from the electrification project.

MBH Power Limited said, it stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and remains committed to provide the necessary support during “this difficult period.”

The company praised the late Robert for his “dedication and valuable contribution” to the successful implementation of the EU/LUSE Electrification Project.

Management said, his commitment and service would be remembered with respect and gratitude by colleagues and stakeholders. Meanwhile, MBH Power Limited has with immediate effect, suspended all work activities connected to the operation.  The company said, the scene was secured while appropriate government authorities and stakeholders were promptly notified in line with legal and project requirements.  It spoke of the safety and wellbeing of its employees, contractors and the public remaining its highest priority.

Management further disclosed how a comprehensive investigation has been launched to establish the immediate, underlying, and root causes of the accident.

The company said, it is fully cooperating with relevant government authorities, RREA, the EU, and other stakeholders.

They also urged the public to refrain from “unnecessary” speculation until the investigation is concluded. MBH Power Limited reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen environment, social, health, and safety safeguard management system to prevent similar incident in the future.

The company also thanked the government local authorities and project stakeholders for their support and cooperation.

It assured the bereaved family members that the thoughts and prayers of the Board, Management, and employees remain with them during this time of profound grief.
