PAW Mourns Pastor Flomo’s Passing
The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW) Liberian West African Council of 35th Episcopal District, over the weekend, laid to rest one of its faithful servant, Pastor/District Elder Nathaniel Flomo in Walker Town Carreysbourg, Montserrado County.
Pastor Flomo died at age 72 at the ST. Joseph Catholic Hospital on May 14, 2026, following a period of illness.
He served as the senior pastor of Village Of Hope Apostolic Church, and an executive member of the PAW in Liberia.
He worked in the pastoral field and touched lives of families while he cultivated and built Christian relationship that made peaceful life with fellow Christians.
The late Pastor Flomo was an executive member of the PAW Liberia, West African Council.
He was born in the Republic of Guinea on February 5, 1954, but came to Liberia and took on Liberian citizenship.
He got married to the Acting District Elder, Helen Folmo, and the union was blessed with five children; five grandchildren and other adopted children.
PAW Diocesan Bishop Leo M. Simpson, preached the celebration of the funeral discourse on the subject: “One Day; One Day Jesus Will Come,” with text from I Thessalonians 1:1-10.
Bishop Simpson cautioned Christians to live good life, and prepared for the coming of the lord, adding: “No one knowns when Christ will return.”
He said, Christians should live moral and holy lives and remain watchful for the coming of the lord.
He reminded believers to live as though Christ has returned.
Simpson urged Christians not be caught unprepared to meet “your maker after life.”
He praised the late Flomo for the life he lived with an unflinching hard worked before he departed this “troublesome world.”
