“Stand with me; I am going to be president in 2029, …a vision for transparent government.”
The phrase: ‘If wishes were horses, beggars and all would ride,’ is to magnify itself in the country political playhouse as many citizens want to become the president too.
On the 2029 presidential listing are Representative Musa Hassan Bility of Nimba County, Montserrad County Senator Saah Joseph and former President George Weah.
Added on the list is now Sinoe County Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan, who declared his intention to contest the presidential election.
Duncan has already announced his intention to contest for the presidency in 2029.
He made his intention known during a dedicatory ceremony for a newly constructed clinic in Pumkpo, Butaw Administrative District in his home Sinoe.
Sen. Duncan, known for his critical stance on both current and past administrations, committed himself to bring “transformative leadership” to the nation if elected at the polls in 2029.
“Stand with me; I’m going to be president in 2029,” he told his anxious crowd at the occasion.
His announcement energized the teeming crowd with his vision for the future to include a transparent government.
Duncan underscores his ambition to lead the country, and address the issues he believes have been “mishandled by previous governments.”
He has over the years dating back to his days with Central Bank former governor, Dr. J. Mills Jones, built for himself a reputation as a fierce critic of the political status quo, labeling past administrations as “failures in delivering essential services and governance.”
His declaration marks the beginning of what is expected to be a competitive and overcrowded race for the presidency as the country prepares for the next elections.
Duncan supporters are optimistic that his experience and dedication to public service will resonate with voters as they seek a candidate capable of addressing the pressing challenges facing the nation.
In another development, Sen. Duncan has officially dedicated three new projects that would enhance the quality of life for the locals.
During the dedicatory ceremony, he committed himself to improve the lives of citizens from the county.
“These projects represent our collective effort to build a brighter future for our community. Access to healthcare and education is fundamental. We are dedicated to make these services available to everyone,” he promised.
The initiatives include the Pumkpo Clinic, Flahn Town Elementary School, and Dyankpo High School.
He also promised that those projects will provide essential services, and educational opportunity to the locals and address critical needs.
In addition to these educational and health facilities, Sen. Duncan also unveiled three new 73-seated buses designated for the Greenville School System.
