Youth NGO Seeks Lawmakers’ Sponsorship Of US$12B Green Economy Bill By Yassah J Wright
A group of citizens under the banner Youth Empowerment Legislative Law (YELL), an 18 to 38 year old Liberian NGO, with a mission to lift Up Liberia’s Economy requests the House of Representatives and Senators to sponsor YELL’s US$12 billion dollars Green Economy Bill. Mr. John Henderson, YELL-President/CEO on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the grounds of the Capital building said the bill has one Legislative sponsor in person Hon. NyahnGarsayeFlomo District # 2 Nimba County and should garner support to ” Arrest Poverty Now.” Mr. Henderson said the bill when passed will creat 45, 000 trainee jobs in 12 economic sectors, 20, 000 lines of credit and UD$ 10, 000 to buy Liberian made products among others. Mr. Henderson giving a historical analysis said in 1819 our Ancestors that descended from the Kpelle, Loma,Kru, Kraun, Grebo, Via, Bassa, Kissie, Mende, Bandi, Sapo, Gio, mandingo and other tribes were held captive, born into slavery from the year of captivity our Ancestors heard of the Abolition Movement, those that fought to be free joined year 1619 in America by force by White Anglo Saxons with the power of Guns and Cannons. In the 200th European and American White Believers in Jesus Christ and joined the Abolitionist Movement. He stated that the American Colonization Society was formed in all States in America through the Christian Church and a Repatriation Bill which passed in the House of Legislature to Send Blacks back to Africa. Our Ancestors spoke to the indigenous Chiefs of all tribes and explained the horrors of slavery in Americas upon their Kinsman. They gave the Youth and Young adults 18 to 38 to our Ancestors to train in Sea War fare and built ships of war and together we Arrested Slavery and Slave trafficking in Liberia and off the West Coast of Africa. We forced all Europeans to submit to us on the high seas and we freed the Congo Captives and all other Tribes down southeast of Liberia held captive. We won the registry of ships and forced all European Nations to fly the Liberia Flag. Our Ancestors ARRESTED SLAVERY in their generation and WE MUST RISE to ARREST POVERTY NOW in This generation or we will forever be in economic and physical slavery to foreigners on our own land, with our own wealth and natural resources… ARREST POVERTY NOW YELL is looking for a few Mighty Men and Woman of Valor that will sacrifice in faith to get the Green Economy Bill passed. The YELL CEO stated that on November 8, 2021, 64 brave young Liberians had vision to believe Yahweh could use YELL members to Lift Up Liberia Economy. “Today you have the fruits of our labor a 12-billion-dollar Green Economy Bill to have Legislature issue a Sovereign Green Bond for Investment,” he emphasized. Mr. Henderson stated that like the Bill that assisted our Ancestors by Yahweh Grace to ARREST SLAVERY fighting in Righteousness to death, this Bill will allow us to Arise and ARREST POVERTY and deliver Liberia from Economic Slavery. He claimed that YELL needs 10,000 petition signatures, we need to demand that all law makers vote yes on 18 to 38 twelve billion dollar Green Economy Bill and YELL needs sponsors for our 15 county Green Economy Tour to raise Awareness among the youth of the Climate Change finance the Green Economy is bringing to Liberia. According to him, YELL will coordinate with Civil Society of Liberia, United Methodist University and Nyahn Garsaye Flomo, a Green Economy Stakeholders Engagement Charette to edit their bill before Plenary Vote in the House of Representatives. Mr. Henderson: “Today, YELL and our Ancestors enlist you to restore our Historical Dignity by going into the senate and house offices today and tell them you want a Yes Vote on the Green Economy Bill.” He expressed that tomorrow his organization will begin to collect signatures from our Young people that will qualify for a Job or 10,000 dollar credit line for first 10,000 signers.
