Weah’s Aid, Others Released
Former Presidential Aid- Sekou Kalasco Damaro and others were arrested on Tuesday, December 17 at the Grounds of the Capitol Building during a protest by citizens under the banner “Concern Citizens for the Protection of Constitution, Democracy and the Rule of Law” amidst ongoing crisis up Capitol Hill. Criminal Court ‘A’ Resident Judge Roosevelt Willie has released former Presidential Aid Sekou Kalasco and others from the Monrovia Central Prison. Prior to their transfer to the South Beach prison, they faced charges from the Ministry of Justice for Rioting, failure to disperse, obstructing highways and passages, obstructing government functions, Aggravated Assault, Criminal mischief, theft of property, and Disorderly Conduct. As reported in the Police Charge sheet, Defendant Kalasco and accomplices utilized both traditional and Social Media platforms to mobilize citizens to gather at Capitol Hill for an unpermitted Protest against the government.
