Weah Sympathizes With Media Community Over Death Of Journalist
Former President George M. Weah has expressed sadness over the passing of journalist Molley Kiazulu, known by friends and colleagues as “Trojan”. The popular journalist died on Sunday following a brief illness. The former President said Kiazulu’s death is a loss not just to the Liberian media community, but all Liberians, given his enormous contribution to the profession in the country. He said the journalist was one of the promising media practitioners whose work he followed before his untimely demise. “This sad happening, coming immediately after the death of my friend Cholo Brooks, is testament to how fleeting life is,” the former Liberian leader said, while offering his sympathy and support to the media community. Kiazulu was a versatile journalist who worked for various media outlets in the country, doing commentaries of political and sporting events, as well as holding government to account. Many have expressed shock at his sudden passing while still in his prime. Former President Weah urged his family, friends and colleagues to take solace in the Lord during this very difficult time for them.
