STATEMENT OF APPRECIATIONS BY: Queen Jewel K. Sonnie, Miss Cuttington University 2024/2025

It’s been overwhelming since I became Miss Cuttington University. I still can’t believe that the once shy young girl who hid in the shadows is now a young woman who is not afraid to stand in the light. 

As I celebrate this moment, I recognize that it is not just mine, but belongs to all those who believed in me and stood by me every step of the way. Firstly, I’m grateful to God for guiding me through every step of the way. I’m grateful for the failures that turned out to be lessons, and for the challenges He’s helped me overcome. To my loving parents and family, thank you so much for your support, encouragement and prayers. I am a testament of your love and kindness and I don’t take it lightly.

To my sisters , thank you for encouraging and standing by me through it all. Your guidance and support mean a lot to me. 

To my trainer and fashion team at Carrilven signatures, thank you for being there for me . Together we made a great team.

To my fellow Scorpions. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to represent our noble institution. I promise to use this platform to inspire, uplift, and make a positive impact in the lives of others. 

Thank you to the judges, organizers and sponsors, for making this dream a reality. I am filled with joy and appreciation, and I will carry this experience with me forever. 

To my fellow beauty queens, thank you for giving me a real competition. Remember that every dream is valid, every effort counts, and every heart filled with passion can achieve greatness. I look forward to partnering with each of you to ensure our beloved campus is a space where we can all thrive and be proud of. 

Thank you once again for this incredible honor. I am ready to embrace this new chapter with grace, humility, and determination. Let’s shine together and make a difference in the world!!
