River Gee County Senator Jonathan Sogbie, has praised the locals for welcoming the government’s newly arrived earth-moving equipment in Fish Town.
Sogbie called it a major step forward for the county.
He described the equipment’s arrival as a “historic milestone.”
Sogbie said, it shows how the government is committed to fix long-standing road problems in the southeast.
He noted that bad roads have made it hard for farmers to get produce to market, and for residents to travel to Monrovia, and neighboring counties for years.
Sogbie: “The machines will rehabilitate major roads, improve transportation, and give citizens better access to markets, and essential services.”
He lauded members of the River Gee Legislative Caucus for working together to push the development agenda forward.
He thanked residents for their patience, and support, and urged them to protect the equipment so it can serve its purpose.
Sogbie expressed confidence that the new machinery will ease transportation challenges, and improve livelihoods.
