Residents of Bong County Electoral District #4 have raised concerns over worsening development challenges affecting communities in the district.
For that, Tokpah Dolo, Jr. has called on Representative Robert Flomo Womba to address the concerns of the people.
Dolo says, the poor condition of the Naama Road, and the Farvey to Touquoi Road, has become a major setback for residents, affecting transportation, business activities, farming, and the movement between communities.
The current condition of these important roads reflects the urgent need for stronger attention from the district’s leadership.
Dolo called on Rep. Womba to conduct a comprehensive tour of the district to understand the difficulties the locals are facing, and assess whether residents remain satisfied with his leadership.
He stated that many communities have yet to experience major development initiatives capable of improving the lives of ordinary citizens.
He identified education as one of the key areas requiring urgent intervention, noting that challenges within the education sector continue to affect young people, and limit their future opportunities.
The citizen also highlighted the poor condition of major roads connecting communities as a serious obstacle to economic growth, explaining that bad roads make it difficult for traders, farmers, students, and other residents to move freely, and access essential services.
Beyond roads, and education, Dolo called for the establishment of vocational training institutions that would equip young people with practical skills, and prepare them for employment, and self-reliance.
He also raised concerns over the lack of access to safe drinking water in several towns, and villages, stressing that many of the inhabitants continue to struggle with meeting basic needs.
The concerns have placed Rep. Womba’s leadership under increased public scrutiny, as residents continue to demand visible development, improved services, and greater accountability from their elected representative.
As frustration grows over the condition of roads, and other essential services, some of the locals have called for immediate action to address challenges they say, have affected their daily lives for too long.
