Poetic Trumpet

Time Comes and Goes

0

Time comes and goes,

Time walks on ten toes.

Time flows like a river,

Time shines with a silver shimmer.

Time flows but never turns around,

Time moves on without slowing down.

No time remains forever,

No time stands still like a statue.

No time remains unchanged,

No time stays permanently arranged.

No time stands stiff forever,

For time keeps moving, stopping never.

The time for joy comes and goes,

The time for sorrow comes and goes.

The time for prosperity comes and goes,

The time for hardship comes and goes.

The time for peace comes and goes,

The time for warfare comes and goes.

The time to rise up comes and goes,

The time to fall down comes and goes.

The time to laugh comes and goes,

The time to cry comes and goes.

The time to win comes and goes,

The time to lose comes and goes.

The time to build comes and goes,

The time to destroy comes and goes.

Time waits for no man,

Nor does it follow any man’s plan.

It carries every season along,

Teaching the weak to become strong.

It reminds the proud to humble themselves,

And teaches the wise to prepare themselves.

Time comes and goes,

And life follows where time flows.

No condition is destined to stay;

What comes today may depart tomorrow.
