It hurts me no more;
I have experienced it before.
I am experiencing it today,
And I shall experience it tomorrow.
I am prepared to get used to it,
Prepared to withstand it,
Prepared to neutralize it,
Prepared to live with it,
Prepared to flow with it,
Prepared to grow through it.
I am used to being despised,
Used to being disappointed,
Used to being suppressed,
Used to being ostracized,
Used to being criticized,
Used to being nullified,
Used to being terrified,
Used to being rejected,
Used to being neglected,
Used to being overlooked,
Used to being despised,
Used to being abused,
Used to being left alone.
Nothing hurts me anymore.
I simply live with it as it happens;
I share my comfort with my Lord.
I no longer sit and dwell in regret,
Nor do I allow yesterday’s wounds
To dictate the course of my tomorrow.
I have learned to endure the pain,
To walk through the storm,
To grow through the struggle,
And to rise above the things
That once brought me down.
It hurts me no more—
Not because I have never been wounded,
But because I have learned
How to heal, endure, and move on.
