I pray to see the end of the fight,
The fight between good and evil,
The fight between God and the devil,
The fight between David and Goliath,
The fight between wisdom and stupidity,
The fight between reality and triviality,
The fight between civility and incivility,
The fight between gentility and brutality,
The fight between truth and falsehood,
The fight between power and strength,
The fight between kindness and rudeness,
The fight between honesty and dishonesty,
The fight between sincerity and insincerity,
The fight between bright light and darkness,
The fight between true love and hatred.
I sit quietly and watch the gladiators,
Yet I can surmise which side will prevail.
I can see that love will surely win the day,
I can see that light will surely win the day.
I can see that honesty will surely win the day,
I can affirm that kindness will win the day.
I can feel that power will overcome strength,
I can feel that truth will conquer falsehood.
I can feel that gentility will defeat brutality,
I can see that civility will overcome incivility.
I can see that David will defeat Goliath,
I can measure that good will conquer evil.
And lastly, with certainty and faith,
God will defeat the devil.
