Employees of the Phebe Hospital and the School of Nursing have been encouraged to strengthen engagement with management through constructive dialogue.

The dialogue would serve as the means of addressing operational challenges and improving institutional efficiency.

Global Health Ministries Consultant, Jerry L. Hoganson, gave the caution during an interview in which he emphasized the need for effective collaboration, and open communication between staff and leadership.

Hoganson said, such are essential for the continued development of the facility.

He stressed the need for hospital administrators to enhance internal communication systems to reduce information gaps, and promote greater transparency among employees.

Despite ongoing financial and budgetary constraints facing the institution, Hoganson said, it was important that staff members are kept informed, given their critical role in the daily delivery of healthcare services.

“Timely and honest communication will build trust within the institution and foster a more cooperative working environment.”

Hoganson also praised the dedication of long-serving employees, some of whom have worked for more than 30 years at Phebe Hospital.

He described their commitment as a major pillar in sustaining healthcare services over the years.

Mr. Hoganson added that the hospital has significant potential for expansion and improvement, but urged the staffers to adopt innovative strategies to ensure sustainability.

He meanwhile, acknowledged government for its continued support to the hospital through budgetary provisions for fuel, medicines, and the salaries of over 400 employees.

Hoganson has called for stronger collaboration between government and hospital authorities to maintain stability and improve service delivery.

He cautioned that healthcare institutions must remain free from political influence, warning that internal tensions between staff and management could undermine the hospital’s core mission if not properly managed.

While recognizing existing communication gaps, Mr. Hoganson urged employees to respect institutional leadership and to pursue peaceful dialogue in resolving workplace concerns.
