Pay-Bayee Joins PAP
Montserrado County Electoral District #13 former Representative Aspirant, Daintowon Domah Pay-Bayee, has officially joined the opposition People’s Action Party (PAP) of Senator Saah Joseph.
The ceremony was held on Saturday, September 12, at the Party’s headquarters in Sinkor. It brought together executives of the party, supporters, as well as members of the disable community.
The inclusion of Ms. Pay-Bayee to the ranks of the PAP, marks a notable addition to its growing political movement in the country ahead of the 2029 general and presidential elections.
Ms. Pay-Bayee, after serving in various positions in the youth, and student community, also served as an executive member of the opposition Alternative National Congress (ANC).
Former President George Weah, (Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) led-government appointed her as the head of the National Commission on Disabilities (NCD).
Ms. Pay-Bayee informed supporters, and executive committee members of the PAP, that with over 25 years of experienced in political advocacy, and service to country, she’s fully prepared to provide whatever assistance necessary in ensuring that the institution becomes a more formidable party.
Ms. Pay-Bayee then revealed her longstanding admiration for the party-political leader, Saah Joseph.
She pointed out how she has long followed, and admired Mr. Joseph’s workings since his days as a social worker, and now as a politician.
“This is step one, as it relates to the dream of being the face of electoral District #13, Montserrado County. Thanks to all noble stakeholders, who participated in the event, as well as those who could not make it due to the rain. The journey to 2029 October 2nd Tuesday according to the constitution, started already, and let’s do it together.”
Some analysts believe that her coming over to the PAP would generate considerable political discussion across district #13.
PAP, meanwhile, says it is focused on unity, citizen participation, community empowerment, and building a more inclusive Liberia.
