Barely weeks after NEC pronounced the former Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Nathanial F. McGill as senator-elect of Margibi County, Margibi County Senator James Emmanuel Nuquay and McGill were both seen Wednesday, November 1, 2023, reconciling their disputes at the Apolitic Baptist Church in Kakata. During the program, the two leaders promised to hold their unity for the betterment of Margibi County and call on their supporters to disengage from any form of political jabs indicating that it is time to reunite for the forward match of the county. Meanwhile, Senator Nuquay and former Minister McGill including supporters of both sides were seen throwing political jabs at each other in the county for the senatorial seat though Senator Nuquay was not a part of the 2023 Senator elections.

According to the two leaders, their differences were observed during the election to explain their plates to the citizens but disclosed that they have been brothers for a long time doing jobs for the Liberian people. Though the two were at each other truck both Hon. Nuquay and Hon. McGill used the occasion to rally citizens of the county’s support for the re-election of President George Weah for his second term mandate. It is observed that the reconciliation meeting was organized by a group of pastors under the theme United Pastors of Margibi County. By: Stanley Kolubah Johnson Credit: Classic FM
