A ‘new’ presidential contender has emerged in Bong County, central Liberia assuring potential voters of his vision.

Counselor David W. Woah, has intensified his political outreach in Bong County, where he had engaged residents of Electoral District #2 as he seeks to build support for his bid to contest the 2029 presidential election.

He told a community gathering in Morris Town that his vision for Liberia emphasizes economic transformation, good governance, national development, and expanded opportunities for ordinary citizens.

The engagement formed part of Woah’s ongoing efforts to connect directly with communities and better understand the challenges confronting Liberians.

He underscored the importance of citizens participation in shaping the future after the 2029 elections.

Cllr.Woah meanwhile, encouraged community members, particularly Kpelle-speaking citizens to remain actively involved in the democratic process and contribute meaningfully to discussions about Liberia’s political and economic direction.

Woah told Bong potential that his his outreach initiative is designed to ensure that the concerns, aspirations, and priorities of ordinary Liberians are reflected in his policy agenda.

He said, effective leadership begins with listening to the people, and understanding the realities they face daily.

He highlighted economic growth, youth empowerment, job creation, education and infrastructure development as central pillars of his vision for national progress.

Woah said, Liberia future depends on inclusive governance that places citizens at the center of decision-making.

The Bong County gathering also provided residents with an opportunity to raise concerns affecting their communities and seek clarification on Woah’s proposed policies and development priorities.

Citizens openly discussed challenges ranging from unemployment and limited economic opportunities to inadequate public services and infrastructure needs.

Some of those who listened to him described the interaction as a rare opportunity to engage directly with a presidential hopeful, and express their views on matters affecting their communities and the country at large.

Several residents expressed appreciation for Woah’s willingness to meet with them and listen to their concerns.

The meeting was part of Woah’s nationwide outreach as he works to expand his support base and position himself as a contender for the highest office ahead of the next electoral cycle.
