Moye Warns Against Division In Governing Alliance

Bong County Senator Prince Kermue Moye, has warned against political division within the governing alliance.

Moye has meanwhile, called for unity, transparency, and teamwork as the Unity Party (UP), and its allied political groups begin positioning themselves for the 2029 elections.

Moye made the remarks during the ongoing National Strategic Retreat in Gbarnga, Bong County, where members of the Unity Party Legislative Caucus, allied political parties, and movements have gathered to assess their political cooperation, and develop strategies for the future.

He said, the strength, and survival of the governing alliance depend largely on the willingness of its members to work together, communicate openly, and ensure that the concerns of all partners are addressed.

He cautioned against internal disagreements, and political activities that could weaken the relationship among lawmakers, party officials, and allied movements.

Moye: “Unresolved grievances within the alliance could create divisions capable of undermining its political strength ahead of the 2029 presidential, and legislative elections.”

He urged members of the Unity Party Legislative Caucus to address their differences through dialogue rather than allowing internal disputes to grow into larger political conflicts.

Drawing from his legislative experience, Moye warned lawmakers that unnecessary political battles among themselves could weaken their standing with voters, and potentially jeopardize their chances of retaining their respective seats.

Moye emphasized the need for political unity should not be limited to public appearances, but must be reflected in the way members of the governing alliance communicate, make decisions, and respond to the concerns of their supporters.

He said the strategic retreat should therefore be used to develop practical ideas capable of strengthening the government, improving coordination among political partners, and advancing national development.

Moye also challenged participants to focus on strategies that could increase political support for President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung in their respective constituencies.

He said, the success of the governing coalition would depend not only on the popularity of individual leaders, but also on the ability of the various political groups within the alliance to remain coordinated, and committed to shared objectives.

Moye welcomed political leaders, and delegates to Bong County, expressing appreciation for the decision to host the national strategic gathering in Gbarnga.

He described the retreat as an important opportunity for members of the governing alliance to exchange ideas, confront internal challenges, and strengthen their political relationship.

As preparations for 2029 gradually take shape, Moye’s call places renewed emphasis on unity within the governing coalition.
