LNP Investigates Motorcyclists’ Attack On Officer

(The Liberia National Police (LNP) has launched a comprehensive investigation into an attack on one of its officers during the enforcement of safety regulations for motorcyclists. The incident occurred on Sunday, June 16, 2024, when two men riding a motorcycle crashed into a checkpoint behind the Health Ministry on the Congo Town Back Road where Patrolman Exodus T. Ker and other Officers were regulating traffic. The assailants struck Officer Kerdoe on the head with an object and fled the scene. Officer Kerdoe sustained severe injury and was promptly taken to a local clinic, but due to the seriousness of his condition, he was later transferred to the JFK Medical Hospital for further medical attention where he received Thirty-Two (32) stitches on the wound. The LNP expressed deep concern over this barbaric act committed by the unknown motorcyclists and has issued a stern warning to potential perpetrators, emphasizing that it will not hesitate to take appropriate actions against anyone involved. Inspector General of Police, Col. Gregory O.W. Coleman has however, reaffirmed the LNP’s commitment to addressing public safety concerns, particularly those related to motorcycle accidents.
