The Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) has announced a ‘Transitional & Inaugural Committee’ tasked with organizing the inaugural ceremony for the recently elected officers of the Bar, scheduled for January 31, 2025. Cllr. Sylvester D. Rennie outgoing President of the LNBA in a released issued Wednesday, January 8, 2025 said the committee is mandated to ensure a seamless and professional transition of leadership. The LNBA Transitional & Inaugural Committee is comprised of esteemed members of the Bar which have been carefully selected to uphold the Association’s tradition of excellence and professionalism. The Chairperson of the Committee, Cllr. Kuku Y. Dorbor, has been granted the authority to constitute the membership into subcommittees to streamline workloads and efficiently manage the various activities leading to a successful inauguration. The committee is further mandated to organize the inaugural ceremony, ensure the proper planning, logistics, and execution of the inauguration of the officers-elect. The committee is further mandated to facilitate a smooth transition, work closely with outgoing and incoming officers to guarantee a seamless transfer of leadership and responsibilities. The Chairperson has the discretion to organize members into specialized subcommittees (e.g., logistics, protocol, media, finance) to optimize the workflow and manage specific tasks effectively. The LNBA acknowledged the vital role of this committee in fostering unity, professionalism, and the continued growth of the Association. In a related development, the LNBA leadership has invited its entire membership, including the Chief Justice and Associate Justices, senior legal counsels, Judges, Magistrates counselors, attorneys, law students and the public to grace this auspicious ceremony marking the inauguration of the new leadership of the Bar, which will take place on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the EJS Ministerial Complex at 2PM Prompt. The members of the committee are: Cllr. Kuku Y. Dorbor, chairperson; Cllr. Kanio GbaGbala, co-chair/administration; Cllr. Evelyn Lah Gongloe, co-chair/operation; Cllr Milton D. Taylor, adviser; Cllr. Julius Ronnie Addy, secretary. Other committee members are Cllr. B. Rachell Yabah-Dubah, ex-officio and outgoing treasure; Atty. Jeremiah Samuel Dugbo I., ex-officio and represent the office o the president-elect and Cllr. Elisha T. J. Forkeyoh, LNBA SG-elect – ex-Officio. The leadership of the LNBA has also encouraged all members to extend their support to the committee in the execution of this significant mandate.
