LIS Mourns One Candidate’s Death
Though the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) has conducted physical tests across Liberia as part of its ongoing recruitment for 500 new officers at the Liberia Immigration Service Training Academy(LISTA) in Foya City, Lofa County, the exercise did not pass without a loss of life. The LIS said it is deeply saddened to report the passing of one applicant, Henry Wesseh, during the physical test in Grand Bassa County. Candidates from Region One, including Margibi, Rivercess, and Grand Bassa Counties, were participating in the test at Doris Williams Sports Stadium when Mr. Wesseh collapsed. He was rushed to the Government Hospital in Buchanan City but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The LIS has extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased. Mr. Wesseh was from Yarkpa Town, Rivercess County, and had successfully completed the first two phases of the recruitment process.
