The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has appointed Ernest V. Mulibah as the new County Commander for River Gee detachment.
Agent Mulibah brings over a decade of experience in criminal investigation, intelligence coordination, drug enforcement, and border security to the southeast.
He succeeds special enforcement officer, Bill M. Cooper, Jr., now reassigned in Nimba County.
His appointment comes amid growing public concern over the impact of illicit drugs on young people.
Beyond enforcement, Mulibah is expected to prioritize community engagement, public awareness, intelligence-led operations, and prevention.
His appointment is expected to strengthen the Agency’s operations against illicit drug trafficking, and improve community safety in the county.
Mulibah is a highly trained law enforcement professional in criminal investigation, intelligence coordinating, SWAT personnel, and ballistic expert.
He previously served as chief of court liaison, where he worked with prosecutors, and investigators to ensure criminal cases were properly prepared for court, and reduce delays in the justice system.
Before his transfer to River Gee, Mulibah served as Commander of the LDEA Karnplay detachment in Nimba County, leading operations against drug activities in the interior part of the county.
He later served as deputy commander for Operations at the Loguatuo Port of Entry, where he coordinated cross-border drug interdiction, and supervised personnel along a major transit corridor.
A 2016 graduate of the National Police Academy, Mulibah has received specialized international training, including eight certificates from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
His training covers countering drug trafficking, forensic drug analysis, and middle-level management.
