LDEA Arrests Multiple Suspects Grand Kru County
The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) continues its relentless efforts to combat illegal drug activities, resulting in significant arrests over the weekend in Grand Kru County. Friday, January 31, 2025 β Geeken, Buah District: A 44-year-old female suspect, identified as Annie Segbe, was apprehended following a search warrant executed by the LDEA team. The operation led to the seizure of twelve dispenser plastics containing Kush, weighing 14 grams, and two and a half packs of King Trama tablets. The confiscated substances have an estimated street value of LRD 126,000 (approximately USD 700). Saturday, February 1, 2025 β Doeswen, Bolloh District: Two male suspects, Alexander Chede (43) and Mark Nyoungbe (27), were arrested in connection with the illegal possession and distribution of controlled drugs. Suspect Nyoungbe was observed purchasing drugs from Chede, who operates a local medicine store. A subsequent search of the establishment uncovered four packs of King Trama tablets concealed within the premises. The seized drugs are valued at LRD 90,000 (approximately USD 500). These arrests underscore the LDEAβs unwavering commitment to eradicating drug-related activities and ensuring the safety and well-being of our communities.
