A man identified as Tebert Tweh, believed to be in his early 40s, has reportedly assaulted a 37-year-old Levi Mombo of Po-River Middle Town.
The incident followed a confrontation reportedly linked to both a long-running land dispute, and accusations involving the suspect’s girlfriend.
Eyewitnesses said, the incident occurred after Mombo was accused of having a relationship with Tweh’s girlfriend, an allegation that reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation.
However, Mombo denied the accusation, saying his conflict with Tweh was primarily connected to a land dispute that has existed between them for several years.
“The issue is that this brother, and I have been having a land dispute for years. He has been after me. This is not the first time, second time, or third time; this is the fourth time.”
Mombo added that he has previously reported the matter to the Garraway Administrative Court, and community police, insisting that he has no interest in Tweh’s girlfriend.
“I am not loving to his wife, and I don’t want her. My concern is the land issue between him and me.”
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the matter, and the allegations remain subject to investigation.
