A graduate of the Tubman University, Sylvester H. Karmbor, has expressed profound appreciation to the People’s Republic of China for providing him the opportunity to participate in an international rural education training program.

Karmbor is among Liberian participants expected to travel to China for the Liberia Rural Education Training Program, scheduled for August 17–30, 2026, in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province.

The program is being organized by Zhejiang Normal University, with the initiative to expose participants to knowledge, and experiences that can contribute to the advancement of rural education.

Karmbor particularly extended his appreciation to Josiah Sloh Negba, Grand Kru County Education Officer, through whose office, he says, the opportunity reached, and benefited him.

‘I Am Deeply Grateful’

Karmbor, who expressed gratitude ahead of the trip said, the opportunity represents more than international travel.

He described it as an important educational, and professional milestone.

“Many thanks to the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Education, and CEO Josiah Sloh Negba, for this great opportunity.”

Karmbor said, he was particularly grateful for the confidence placed in Liberian participants to be part of an international learning experience.

As he prepares to travel, Karmbor said, he carries with him the hopes, and prayers of his family, Grand Kru County, and Liberia.
